The Amado feels like a great escape, you want to live there and never leave!
Okay little context maybe :-)
We visited the Amado in May while we were on a roadtrip in the US. You might have seen some pictures pop up on our Instagram.
But today we wanted to share some more info and pics of our stay.
Damn we heart this place!

Location: The Amado is located in the desert, in Palm Springs, meaning it's always sunny and it's just a 2h drive from LA.

The building: This was truly love at first sight! The property was built in 1955.
It's a beautiful example of mid-century architecture with a mixed use of brick and wood throughout. The combination of this style with the typical Palm Springs scenery is absolutely georgeous.

The renovation: It was purchased and renovated in 2013 by Jamie Kowal.
There are 5 beautifully renovated suites/apartments, which can be rented individual or as a single property accommodating up to 12 people; making it the ideal location for large families or celebrations.

The style: It's a unique combination of minimalism, mixed with natural materials, ethnic elements, textures and color. But the coolest thing is that throughout the renovation, she managed to honor the original architecture of the space!
